A few days ago, a couple of my best friends and I were rapidly texting in our group chat about our favorite vocalists, guitarists, drummers, and so on and so forth. The particular group I was talking to has a love of the past with an embrace of the present, so the names of the artists listed were varied. This inspired us to create a collaborative Spotify playlist to share our favorite songs with one another, in an effort to introduce each other to new music.

This struck me as something that’s important during this stay-at-home time. We’re not able to go out to shows or establishments where we’d be introduced to new music. We’re relying solely on the Internet and word-of-mouth.

So my advice to you during these days of distance is to create a collaborative Spotify (or even YouTube) playlist with your friends to share your favorite news, old and new. It also makes for a fun game to guess who added what. It’s only been a few days and I’ve been introduced to a number of songs/artists that I never would’ve thought to listen to on my own.

Give it a try and share your favorites in the comments! Happy streaming!

ONE of the most beautiful songs ever written was “Thank You” by Led Zeppelin I get chills every time I listen to it.
I would love to know what song you think is the most beautiful song ever written. Let’s keep this going.

Thanks for sharing, Rhonda! “Thank You” is definitely up there for me on the list of beautiful songs. One of my all-time faves is “The Story of Her Love” by Seals & Crofts. Brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
