Tidbits of Recommendations: June 19, 2020

It’s our fourth week of Tidbits of Recommendations! ToR is a weekly series where we bring you our favorites in entertainment, lifestyle, and Chicago. Let’s see what we’ve gotten ourselves into this week! (How are we already halfway through June?…)

Airing on Freeform, the show follows three best friends working for a lifestyle magazine in NYC. It’s loosely based on life at Cosmo magazine, and it stays really in touch with current events. Aside from an awesome soundtrack (which you can listen to on Spotify), the show features the incredible Melora Hardin, who we had the pleasure of interviewing last year!

I’m in the midst of moving which means I’m in the midst of a lot of cleaning. Good Green Cleaner has been a lifesaver, as they have environmentally-friendly and pet-safe products designed for every major space in the house. We’ll be doing a full rundown on using GGC for an upcoming deep-clean review, but I can tell you I’m already loving it. My bathroom is so fresh and clean and there’s honestly nothing more important than that when it comes to the cleanliness of a home! Stay tuned for the upcoming review, featuring our delayed spring cleaning!

Inside of the float space.

One of my favorite spots in the southwest suburbs is back open after doors temporarily closed due to COVID-19. Nimas Float & Spa is the best place to decompress – which is something we could all use right now. Read our review here which talks all about our 60-minute floating session and how ahhh-mazing it was!

The time capaule journal kids
In case you haven’t heard, I have released a follow-up to The Time Capsule Journal, this time for kids! The children’s edition of TTCJ is designed for ages 6 to 10 and asks fun questions all about you! Answer half of the questions now, then come back in a few years and document how your answers have changed. This is a fun way to see how you’ve grown and makes for a great keepsake! While this book is recommended for ages 6 to 10, the content is appropriate for all ages. NOTE, FOR ANY COPIES ORDERED BETWEEN NOW AND MONDAY, JUNE 22, A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO SHADY OAKS CAMP!
